We continue our review of the DC Collectibles Justice League New 52 Action Figure Set with a closer look at the prosthetically enhanced titan, Cyborg. Like the other figures in the collection, this founding member of the reimagined New 52 Justice League has been masterfully rendered to closely match the fictional aesthetic of the mechanically enhanced superhero (and his alter ego Vic Stone) based on the creative vision of comic book artist, Jim Lee.
Of the seven figures in the set, Cyborg is the heaviest as well as the tallest at roughly 7. DC Collectibles artists have delivered another solid effort as the figures sculpted elements and boldly painted finish have been superbly rendered with minimal defects or aberrations. Cyborgs face is particularly well done and is worthy of special mention.
Like the other figures in the Justice League New 52 pack, Cyborgs articulation is relatively limited. Beyond the rotating forearms, movement is confined to only a handful of standard joints in the neck and appendages. For collectors with an eye toward displaying these figures, the constrained movement is only a minor issue.
In or out of the box, Cyborg and his fellow Justice Leaguers are likely to be a welcome addition to the stash of most DC Comics fans. These authentically detailed figures compare favorably with other products in their price range and are a much better deal purchased in this limited edition package (for roughly $100 USD) than if acquired individually. In particular, Cyborg provides yet another compelling reason to snag the DC Justice League New 52 Action Figure Set which for DC Comics fans and collectors should be just enough.
Well be reviewing the rest of the DC Collectibles Justice League New 52 Action Figure Set soon, but for now check out more of our shots of Cyborg below. (For even more, be sure to check out our previous Green Lantern, The Flash, and Aquaman features as well.)
