Facing Off with Kotobukiya’s Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulk ARTFX+ StatueFebruary 1, 2016
For superhero aficionados and aficionadas with a fondness for Marvels iconic green rage monster, Kotobukiyas Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulk ARTFX+ Statue should add just the right amount of smashing, faux gamma-irradiated awesomeness to their collections.
Designed by legendary sculptor, Junnosuke Abe (the artist behind Kotobukiyas very popular Marvel Now series of figures, including the recently featured ), the nearly 9.5-inch tall (1/10th scale) Kotobukiya Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulk ARTFX+ Statue is a masterful depiction of Bruce Banners volatile and freakishly strong alter ego that delivers the detail and craftsmanship that discerning collectors will undoubtedly relish. Once removed from the box and assembled (Hulks lower body and arms attach to the torso), the quality of the piece is readily apparent. The sculpts richly painted contours faithfully capture the Hulks rippling verdant musculature, enraged disposition, and high-tech stretchy pants in a dynamic (and characteristically intimidating) pose with his fists raised and face snarling.
While the Kotobukiya Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulk ARTFX+ Statue makes for a stunning stand-alone piece, it is built to be posed with its collectible Avengers 2 counterpart, the (which is sold separately). In addition to hands that fit together, both figures come with matching bases resembling a brick roadway that can be aligned to yield the ultimate display of brawling titans.
The Kotobukiya Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulk and Hulkbuster ARTFX+ Statues released in the fall of 2015 at the manufacturers suggested retail prices of $69.99 and $199.99 USD, respectively.
